Question: Mac OS X (10.5 Leopard)AirPort PPPoE Setup
Mac OS X (10.5 Leopard) Setup
The following is a guide to setting up a PPPoE connection on a computer running Mac OS X. This connection will enable you to use the Moore College network.
Under the Apple Menu in the top left hand corner of the screen select System Preferences.
Select the Network icon.
On the left side of the Network panel, make sure you are connected to either a wireless or wired (ethernet) network. If you are using wireless, you need to Select AirPort and connect to "MooreWifi" wireless network. Once you've connected to Wireless or wired, then you need to create a PPPoE connector.
Click the '+' button where the green arrow is indicating in the picture below and a dialog box will apprear.
Click on the Interface pull-down box and chose PPPoE in the 2nd part of the dropdown menu. Then on the 'Ethernet' pulldown which appears, chose either the Ethernet or AirPort network which you want to use (if you are a residential student in Newtown, you may be required to create one of these connections for both Wireless and Wired connections).
Please name the connection.
Now you have a new blank profile. Please enter the account name and password as exampled below (remember to add the @student realm). Then click Apply
Now that your PPPoE connect is setup, please just click "Connect" to start using the Moore College network
